The Angel opens her eyes
She was boundless
as she began to fall
Patiently waiting an eternity
just for this moment
Longing to touch him
but she dared not
She was only a memory
part of his dreams
When daylight comes
she’ll be invisible
just a glimmer in the sunlight
hiding beneath her wing
The Angel closes her eyes

From within, the beating heart cries as it pounds vibrating from the ground. Rumbles heard, it awakens her wings to splay reaching for the sky. Would she fly, knowing his heart just sighed, again. Never an end, just a pause to recapture what once was lost. To bring life to a soul now found.
Your poem is beautiful, as are all your words inked in poetry’s song.
